A Legacy of Blessings

2006 has been a tremendous year for FRMC Charlie's Chaplains. This year we celebrated our privilege of sharing healing humor at FRMC, as a new generation of Charlie's Chaplains.

From this ministry's auspicious beginnings, Charlie’s Chaplains was a hospital clown ministry. 15 years later, a new generation of Charlie’s Chaplains has emerged and entertains monthly at FRMC.

Now a creative ministry, active members represent several disciplines in addition to clowning. Our group is comprised of professional entertainers donating their services along with other specially-trained and very dedicated community volunteers, all of whom have joined forces to offer uplifting performances especially for the FRMC patients, staff and visitors.

It was a real thrill for all of us to have the 3 originating pastors come be with us at Skool '06, to share about the ministry's humble beginnings, remind us of our important mission and the need for this type of work.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed our time with them, the dedicated instructors and each other -- great fun, fellowship and learning abounding -- all hallmarks of Charlie's Chaplains' Skools.

Each year brings new developments and opportunities for FRMC Charlie's Chaplains. 2006 was a moment in time for us to remember by looking back, learning from our founders and experiences, while looking ahead to future adventures in the great Clown Unknown.

As in past years, 2007 will no doubt offer its own special brand of excitement, thrills and discovery. We look forward to what is to come with wonder and anticipation -- stay tuned!
