Charlie's Chaplains' 2007-08 Skool Year In-Service Hours

Each year, the dedicated team members of Frye Regional Medical Center's Charlie's Chaplains' Hospital Clown Creative Ministry share their gifts of entertainment, gift of self in performing in a special way that brings joy and wonder to countless patients, FRMC staff members and visitors.

The gift of time is also devoted to this important work.

While not inclusive of the amount of preparation time, here are the service hours FRMC Charlie's Chaplains provided this year:

All-Inclusive Collective Hours (Including Special Events): 317 hours

Collective Visitation Hours (NO Special Events): 279 hours

FRMC Charlie's Chaplains' Coordinator: 197 hours

Assistants to Coordinator (2): 100 hours

NOTE: The number of patients, staff, visitors seen on monthly Rounds is virtually incalculable. It is literally impossible to provide any numbers related to contacts made. Charlie's Chaplains visits all patients in the hospital at the time of Rounds who can and wants to receive a visit.

With the kind of performance work we do it is just not possible to offer the one-on-one entertainment and analytically count "how many" at the same time. But one thing we do know, is that folks seem to enjoy us because we see a lot of smiles wherever we go!
